What's a secret amongst friends?
There’s only one week left(Was I supposed to send this yesterday? Maybe. Mind yo’ business) until the release of Wine in a Million! Releasing another book into the wild is like sending your kid off to their first day of school and hoping they make friends. Will they fit in? Will people like them and want to hang with them? Will they sit at the lunch table by themselves? You get what I mean.
You’re usually a nervous wreck up until they come home screaming that they had the best day of their life and want to go back and do it the next day. Well, friends, book releases aren’t exactly like that. Most of your books go out into the world, and they might not find their “space”, the place where they’re adored and loved and celebrated. That doesn’t mean they won’t find their spot, but it might take longer than you expect.
Do we all have the dream of our book being released and people automatically loving it and wanting to tell every single person within hearing distance? Absolutely. And please, feel free to tell everyone how much you loved any one of my books! If you hated them, feel free to kindly keep that to yourself🤣.
Either way, I’m excited for Rosay and Graham to be in people’s hands next week! I have some secret information that is only for YOU, my amazing newsletter subscribers!
If you aren’t someone who wants all the bookish goodies with your order or a personalized copy, you can actually order a copy of Wine in a Million from Amazon RIGHT NOW. I like to release my paperback on Amazon early so that if you want a copy before the wide release date, then you can make all the launch day content with a physical copy.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, if you want the goodies that come along with a personalized copy, order your copy from me!
Drafts
I just hit 17k on my new project! Somehow I managed to put 6k words on the page this past week and I’m not mad at it. It’s difficult to focus on a new project when you’re on the cusp of one coming out, but I’m putting one foot in front of the other and getting it done. I’d like to have this project ready for beta readers by Aug. 1st, so wish me good luck!
Realistically, if I can get this one finished, I’ll start working on the follow-up to Gnome One Like You for a November/December release.
Snacks
I’m constantly on Pinterest looking for new recipes to try out during the summer, and this is one I want to try so bad! It’s a sweet treat with heat that you can use as a topping or just a snack!

Writing Hacks
I’ve been writing nonstop for the past three or four years, and I feel like it’s a good practice to take time off writing to absorb craft books. This isn’t a list of every craft book, but it’s a good start if you’re new to writing or just looking to brush up on your skills.
Books I’m excited to read
The Games We Play is book 3 (Seamus’ book) in the interconnected standalone Balance of Power series. A grumpy/sunshine, second chance romance, told in a past/present timeline with Dual POVs. It will make you smile and kick your feet with giddiness, but still brings all the open door spice you can expect from a Berlin Wick book.
Please check TW’s on the authors website before reading.

Sarah Owens’ life is a series of almosts. She almost has her dream job (painting pet portraits might not set her soul on fire, but at least she can call herself a full-time artist). She’s almost over the pain of her breakup (she doesn’t miss her scumbag ex, but she does miss the confidence she had before he cheated on her). And she's almost forgotten the guy she hooked up with in a club bathroom (until she finds out her best friend is about to marry his brother).
Rich, cocky, and vain, Aleksander Larsson is everything Sarah hates in a man. But when wedding duties force them together, sparks fly. While she might not like Alex, Sarah can't deny their connection. A physical relationship, only until the wedding, will tame the tension between them, and no one ever has to know. No one can know—not when Alex's future sister-in-law has warned him to stay away from her friends.
But the more time they spend in—and out of—bed, the more Sarah realises Alex is more than expensive clothes and a deadly smirk. As they bond over art and late night confessions, he starts to show a side of himself she’s sure few other people get to see.
But with their lives so closely entangled, is it worth falling for the one man she can’t risk things not working out with?
Midnight Wishes is book 2 in the Love in London series, following Sarah and Alex from Sunshine Kisses.

Find the Fool’s Gold…
Bane Woods finds working as a Used Brooms Salesman unfulfilling. He can't shake the feeling that he's falling behind, particularly as his brilliant girlfriend nears graduation from law school. When looming changes at the broomstick dealership put his position at risk, Bane becomes desperate to find a way to earn extra money, hoping to provide a better life for both of them.
While flipping through the newspaper, Bane discovers that the worthless commemorative coins minted for the royal coronation are suddenly gaining value. He begins hunting for the fool’s gold in a city teeming with magic mirrors, treasure-obsessed dragons, and a cozy coffee shop run by the friendliest demon in the kingdom. But Bane soon realizes he's not the only one searching. Everyone else is just as determined to get ahold of the coins which, in the blink of an eye, could all be worth nothing.
As Bane’s obsession grows, he begins to lose sight of the things most important to him. But if he can’t afford to propose to his girlfriend, will they ever live happily ever after?
